SYLACAUGA, Ala. – James Payton Blvd is expected to get a facelift in the near future.
At Tuesday night’s meeting, the council authorized Engineering, Environmental & Forestry Services Co. to seek out bids for the project that will resurface and widen James Payton Blvd.
EEFS Engineer Michael Rice told the council at its work session this project should not last long once it gets started.
Sylacauga Mayor Jim Heigl and his office were able to secure $250,000 in funding from the Alabama Department of Transportation for the road construction.
