SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Families across the Coosa Valley area can look forward to a jam-packed slate of Easter events in the coming days, with egg hunts, brunches and celebrations scheduled throughout the region.
On Saturday, April 12, three egg hunts will kick off at 10:00 a.m.: The Sanctuary of Sylacauga will host Easter Egg-citement in its gym, Sylacauga Parks and Recreation will hold its Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Brunch at Noble Park, and Childersburg Parks and Recreation will present a City-Wide Easter Egg Hunt behind the R.S. Limbaugh Community Center. Starting at 12:00 p.m., Trinity Assembly of God will debut its first annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Easter celebrations continue Sunday, April 13. First United Methodist Church in Alexander City will host its Easter Extravaganza from 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by Sycamore Baptist Church’s hunt from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Grimes Chapel Baptist Church’s event at 3:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 16, the Maxye Veazey Senior Center will offer a Senior Egg-Stravaganza at 1:00 p.m.
Festivities culminate on Saturday, April 19. Valley View Kids will host a City-Wide Easter Egg Hunt at Fairmont Park from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Other events include hunts at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga, Browns Chapel, Calvary Baptist Church, and Childersburg First Methodist, as well as Fayetteville Methodist’s 1:00 p.m. event. Sylacauga Health and Rehab will also host a Community-Wide Celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
