Coosa Valley Medical Center to host “Protect Your Heart” Community Links event on Monday, April 6

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Coosa Valley Medical Center will host its April Community Links program, titled “Protect Your Heart: Building a Heart-Healthy Lifestyle,” on Monday, April 6, at the B. B. Comer Memorial Library.

The event, scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will feature cardiologist Dr. Wytch Rigger, a board-certified specialist with Cardiovascular Associates. Attendees are invited to meet Dr. Rigger, ask questions, and learn more about maintaining heart health.

Lunch will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a presentation at 12:00 p.m. focused on practical strategies for improving cardiovascular wellness. Topics will include balanced nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and preventive care.

Organizers say the program is designed to provide accessible guidance and resources for individuals at any stage of their health journey, from those just beginning to those seeking to strengthen existing habits.

The event is open to the public. Participants will have opportunities to connect with local health resources and gain tools to support long-term wellness.
