SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Masks and gloves are the new style and everyone is being quarantined. It is safe to say that COVID-19 has turned the world upside down.
With all the madness taking place, the love in the world is still being shared at Coosa Valley Health Care (CVHC). The nursing home organized a parade that took place this afternoon to show those residents love from a distance.
The parade featured cars that were decorated with signs and balloons for their loved ones who reside in the nursing home. The residents watched from the sidewalk as the cars drove by.
“This is huge because we have not been able to see our friends and family,” said Pell City teacher Lori Carden. “To be able to do this it to make light of a difficult situation.”
According to Carden, every single resident of the nursing home had a sign made for them. The drivers in the parade were made up of family members, friends, church members and others from the community.
