Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative crews are back home after emergency efforts in Georgia

LINCOLN, Ala. – After two weeks of service at two different Georgia electric cooperatives, 14 Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) linemen and right-of-way response crew personnel have returned home.

CVEC crews first spent a couple of days helping Amicalola Electric Membership Corporation in northern Georgia recover from the effects of Hurricane Helene.

Afterward, they spent more than a week assisting Slash Pine EMC in southern Georgia. Slash Pine EMC suffered approximately 2,000 broken poles from Hurricane Helene.
