CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg and Vincent Housing Authority will host a free Community Day on Saturday, Nov. 15, offering families an afternoon of activities, food, and health resources at the Sadie Lee Homes ball field. The event runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The gathering, themed “Test, Taste, and Thrive,” will feature on-site lead testing for children along with educational materials on lead safety. The first 50 children tested will have their names entered into drawings for $25 gift cards, with four winners selected by age group. All participants will receive souvenirs.
The day is designed to provide both fun and important community services. Attractions include inflatables, live entertainment, refreshments and hot meals, all free of charge.
Community Day is sponsored by Cassi’s Medical Training Services and the West Anniston Foundation.
