Comer Museum to celebrate nation’s 250th anniversary on Saturday, July 4

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Isabel Anderson Comer Museum and Arts Center will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States during its annual Independence Day event on Saturday, July 4.

The public is invited to join the Comer Museum board and staff for a holiday cookout featuring free hot dogs, chips, and drinks provided by The Lions Club, Imerys, and Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Brown Butter Bakery will also provide cupcakes for attendees.

The celebration will feature a variety of special activities, including a presentation by Thomas Jefferson, who will read excerpts from the Declaration of Independence.
