SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Every month, the Isabel Anderson Comer Museum and Arts Center hosts an exhibit featuring a unique artist.

For January, photographer Nadia Lynn Voils is the featured artist.

Nadia moved to the United States at the age of eight, and soon after, she discovered her passion for art in the realm of photography.

“I started taking art classes in middle school and discovered the world of photography, trying to capture all of the beauty I could,” Nadia said. “Learning that art comes in many forms, the possibilities are endless. Ever since then, it has been a way for me to express how I am feeling, the extreme highs and lows going on in my life. This is an outlet to escape to world, even if for just a moment.”

Nadia’s artwork will be on full display at the Comer Museum and Arts Center throughout the month.

If you’d like to meet Nadia, you can do so at her reception at the museum which begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19.

The reception is free of admission and light refreshments will be served.
