SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Isabel Anderson Comer Museum and Arts Center held a special event to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its establishment.
The event was held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Those in attendance were given a VIP tour of the museum’s displays, participated in door prize drawings, and were fed dinner.
The entertainment was provided in the forms of music by Tina Marie Hosey, a Patsy Cline impersonator from Dadeville, and a comedy set delivered by Nancy Jean.
The tagline for the museum’s birthday celebration broke down the math behind the Comer Museum and Arts Center’s impressive staying power in Sylacauga:
- “4 Decades, 480 Months, 2,087 Weeks, 14,609 Days, 350,632 Hours, 21,037,968 Seconds”
