Citywide leaf removal project scheduled to start in Childersburg

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – As announced last month during a City Council meeting, the Childersburg Street Department began a citywide leaf removal project on Monday, Jan. 13.

The City had arranged to lease leaf collection equipment from Alabama Construction and Tree Service (ACTS) for $100 per day for the project.

Pick-ups are for leaves only, and they must be placed at the edge of the road. Dates and areas are noted below, pending weather conditions:

Jan. 13th: East side of US Hwy 280 beginning with Killough Heights and Forest Hills.
Jan. 27th: West side of US Hwy 280 beginning with River Run.
