SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The City of Sylacauga is seeking applicants for full-time Light Equipment Operator positions and is accepting applications through Monday, Aug. 24.
According to city officials, applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid Alabama Class B Commercial Driver’s License. Employees must be available to work some holidays and weekends and will be required to undergo a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing.
The position offers a starting salary of $34,236.80 per year, along with annual merit increases. Benefits include free single health and dental coverage, retirement benefits, life insurance, vacation leave, and sick leave.
Applications must be submitted in person at the Human Resources Office on the second floor of Sylacauga City Hall. The deadline to apply is 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24. Applications are accepted Monday through Thursday.
