SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The City of Sylacauga is hiring a Court magistrate.
The City will accept applications for Court Magistrate I beginning March 18 until 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 29.
This position involves entering court cases into the computer system, taking fine payments, court docket maintenance and preparing and filing court related documents.
Applicants must have a high school diploma, courses in office technology, a valid Alabama driver’s license, one year performing intermediate level clerical work (prefer court setting). Municipal court experience or certification is a plus.
Applicants also must meet certification requirements of Alabama Office of the Courts.
