SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Christian Gardner was named the 2025 Nemak Achiever Scholarship recipient at Sylacauga High School’s senior banquet during May.
In his winning essay, Gardner wrote, “My ability to think outside the box and follow the requirements of my projects makes me believe that a career in the automotive manufacturing industry will fit me extremely well.”
The Nemak scholarship recognizes innovation and leadership potential in automotive and manufacturing careers. Gardner also received a scholarship from Auburn University, where he will study mechanical engineering.
Nemak USA/CAN launched the program in 2016 to support outstanding high school seniors with scholarships and summer internships throughout college, helping the next generation of engineers and manufacturing professionals.
