Christian Apologist Author and Speaker to keynote First Baptist Church of Sylacauga’s annual Women’s Conference

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – First Baptist Church of Sylacauga’s Ladies First women’s ministry will host Christian apologist author and speaker, Alisa Childers, on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30p.m.

Childers, a lifelong church-goer, follower of Jesus, and former contemporary Christian music recording artist with the Dove award-winning group ZOEgirl, shares she experienced a period of profound doubt about her faith in her mid-thirties. She states “she felt as though she had been tossed in a stormy ocean of uncertainty with no life jacket or lifeboat in sight. She didn’t know where to find answers to her questions, or if answers existed at all. Did she have to accept it all on some kind of blind faith?  She began to investigate her faith intellectually—She took seminary classes and read everything she could get her hands on.

This began her journey from unreasoned doubt into a vibrant, rational, and informed faith. If you are seeking, if you have doubts, or if you are a strong woman of faith who wants to better articulate your faith, please join us for this time together to dive into His word and tackle the tough questions together.”

Tickets are available for $10.00 each and can be purchased in person at FBC Monday – Friday from 8-4pm or online at  Tickets may also be purchased at the door.  Copies of Alisa’s new book, Another Gospel?, will also be available for purchase.  For more information about Alisa, please visit her website at
