CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – In case you haven’t noticed, the City of Childersburg takes the celebration of Christmas so seriously that many have dubbed it to be “Christmasburg,” and this week is when a pair of the city’s most popular traditions continue.
On Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8:30 a.m., the famed historic landmark, the Butler-Harris-Rainwater House, hosts the December Greater Coosa Valley Chamber of Commerce Coffee. The hosts from the Childersburg Historic Preservation Committee will serve their famous holiday delicacies, set inside a fabulously decorated setting.
Then, on Thursday, Dec. 12, starting at 6:00 p.m., you and your family will want to head to downtown Childersburg to stake claim to your favorite vantage point along the route of the 2024 Childersburg Christmas Parade, known far and wide for putting viewers in the holiday mood.
