CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The enchantment of the holiday season will illuminate Childersburg on Tuesday evening, Nov. 28, as the community gathers for its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Festivities kick off at 6:00 p.m. at the Butler-Harris Rainwater House, with a dazzling procession through downtown to follow.
Attendees can revel in the magic of Santa’s Workshop, encounter the Grinch in Whoville at Kiwanis Park, and enjoy carriage rides through reservation only.
The festivities continue with hot chocolate and s’mores, along with special treats in Whoville. Downtown restaurants will offer delectable delights, and food trucks, including Doug’s BBQ and Mike Sullivan’s South Finest, will serve up mouthwatering options.
A vital note for attendees: Downtown streets will close at 5:00 p.m.
To ensure the safety of families, parking is available at designated areas, and shuttles from City Hall start at 5:00 p.m., providing a convenient way to join the celebration.
