Childersburg Rescue Squad collecting emergency supplies for ice-storm-hit Oxford, Miss.

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Rescue Squad has been asked to assist Oxford, Miss. as a collection point for emergency supplies. They are caught in an ice storm, and over 62,000 people will be without power for weeks due to the damage.

They are in dire need of blankets, canned food, manual can openers, bottled water, and one-pound small green propane bottles.

The Childersburg Rescue Squad building will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. this Monday through Friday, with delivery scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7.
