CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Rescue Squad has announced the formation of a Junior Rescue Squad. Teens – ages 16 to 18 – looking for something worthwhile to do are invited to check out the program.
Jim Dennis, the head of the Childersburg Rescue Squad, said, “A limited number of teens will be allowed to be a part of what we look to as a worthwhile endeavor on behalf of our community as well as the region we serve.”
To that end, the prospective Junior Rescue Squad will hold an informational meeting on Saturday, April 5 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rescue Squad headquarters, located behind the current Childersburg Police Station.
Dennis continued, saying, “Interested candidates can attend and must have a parent with them. Come be a part of something big and learn skills that will help you learn to help others. We look forward to meeting all of the candidates and forming a team that creates a slice of history. See you there.”
