CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Childersburg Primary Care now has a new cardiologist in the office.
“Ascension St. Vincent’s Dr. Christopher Degroat will be able to provide basic cardiac care to patients in the area at Childersburg Primary Care,” said Childersburg Primary Care’s Dr. Jarod Speer. “At this time, he’s the only cardiologist that comes to Childersburg. That increased access is to quality healthcare is always important. Having another physician in the area makes it easier for patients to see doctors when they need them most instead of driving all the way to Birmingham.”
Dr. Degroat is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. He provides personalized care for patients with a variety of cardiovascular condition.
There is also a gastroenterologist, Dr. David Miller, of Birmingham Gastro, that comes to the building weekly.
Dr. Speer said his practice is exploring more options to bring more physicians to practice in Childersburg.
