CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Police Department has moved into its new police station, located at 34011 US Hwy 280, next to Central Alabama Community College. Like most moves, there’s a lot of extra work going on to settle in completely.
“Anybody that’s ever moved knows, we’ll be living out of boxes a while longer,” said Chief Kevin Koss, “and with a project of this magnitude, we’re finding a few issues here and there that weren’t noticed in walkthroughs, but we’re thrilled over the many upgrades that are going to help us serve the community better and even more consistently.”
While the location has changed, the department is still committed to providing exemplary police service to the community. All services are continuing without interruption at the new facility.

The records office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Should you need to speak to an officer at anytime, please contact Talladega County Central Dispatch at (256) 761-1556 and press option #8. As always, in the event of an emergency, please dial 911.
“We look forward to serving the community from our new location. We would also like to thank Mayor [Ken] Wesson and the Childersburg City Council for your continued unwavering support and commitment to our first responders,” said Chief Koss.
