Childersburg man identified as victim of second Hwy 280 wreck that took place on Tuesday, Jan. 30

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Authorities have identified the victim of the second Hwy 280 crash that occurred on Tuesday evening, Jan. 30.

Marcus E. Crawford, 43, of Childersburg, lost his life when the 2002 Ford Explorer he was driving collided with a 2005 Kenworth tractor-trailer near Tanner Circle on Hwy 280. Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol division are investigating the incident, which happened approximately one mile east of Childersburg near Tanner Circle.
