SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga Police have arrested a Childersburg man after he allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint on June 2 in the Sylacauga Walmart parking lot.
40-year-old Monroe Lamar Kilgore was taken into custody on June 6 for Robbery 1st Degree. SPD said it responded to a call after a victim claimed to be sitting in her vehicle when a male approached her on foot with a gun demanding money. The suspect then reached inside the vehicle and took and undetermined amount of currency.
During SPD’s investigation, Kilgore was identified as a person of interest and was then arrested for robbery.
Robbery 1st Degree is a Class A Felony and if found guilty can carry a sentence of 10 to 99 years in prison.
