ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – 27-year-old Keyuntae Marquise Bealey of Childersburg has been taken into custody for the shooting death of 26-year-old Chavorian Williams of Tallassee last month in Alexander City.
On Sunday, June 23, officers from the Alexander City Police Department were called around 1:50 a.m. to Russell Hospital regarding an adult male being treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound. Williams later died from his injuries at the hospital.
The shooting incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. during a birthday party in the 1800 block of Dadeville Road.
At the time of his arrest, Bealey was in Kent County, Michigan. He was located with the assistance of the United States Marshals Task Force. He is currently being held in the Kent County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing that will determine if he will be headed back to Alabama to face charges in the shooting death.
