CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Making a difference for the area’s children is the focus for the Childersburg Kiwanis Club, so during the December Greater Coosa Valley Chamber Coffee, Kiwanis members presented Childersburg Police Chief Kevin Koss with stuffed animals for the children our First Responders encounter during some of their tougher emergency calls.
“Doing something that helps our First Responders make difficult calls easier for children is important,” said Kiwanis Club’s Janice Grohs. “As Kiwanians, we serve the children of our area, and this concerns one of those otherwise traumatic moments for children that police, fire and EMS responders too often encounter.”
“Thank you! We have used these Kiwanis donations in the past,” said Chief Koss, “and our experience has been so much more positive because of these gifts to the children we see in our work. It truly makes a difference.”
