CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Kiwanis will host its 3rd Annual Sporting Clay Shoot this Friday, Sept. 22 at Selwood Farm in Alpine.
Teams who have not registered can still sign up the morning of the event. Breakfast and registration begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The cost is $100 per shooter, which includes a cart, and shooters will compete in 4-man teams of all ages. At the door, shooters also have the option to “move it closer” for $10 and can purchase a $10 chance at winning a half day quail hunt.
Shooters will take their stations at 9:15 a.m. for the shoot to begin. The contest will conclude at 12:30 p.m., at which time lunch will be served and prizes awarded.
All proceeds will benefit the Childersburg Kiwanis Park, which has undergone recent improvements including a new fence and gates earlier this year as well as fresh wood chips last month.
