CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Earlier this month, Childersburg Family Dental hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, welcoming community members to their grand opening.
The new dentistry practice is located in downtown Childersburg at 138 9th Ave. near the Greater Coosa Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Childersburg Family Dental is run by Dr. Roxanne Weaver and her staff of seven.
“I was incredibly blessed because I got two wonderful teams to merge together,” said Dr. Weaver. “Dr. Gary Rice had offered me a position with him as an associate a few times, and it was just never quite the right time. Then, he felt ready to sell [the practice], and I was his first call. I could not be more thankful.”
The practice was originally slated to grand open in February, but a breakout of severe weather temporarily delayed the opening a month.
“We offer comprehensive care,” added Dr. Weaver. “We try to offer a really comfortable environment. We do almost all procedures here. We offer botox as well. We only refer out if we feel a patient is best served with a specialist. We offer total care for patients of all ages.”
Dr. Roxanne Weaver is a Huntsville native that graduated from Auburn University before receiving her doctorate from UAB’s School of Dentistry. She said she is falling in love with the Childersburg community and is looking forward to serving them the best she can.
Dr. Weaver’s mother, fiancé, and best friend were all present to witness the grand opening first-hand. For Weaver, their support is invaluable.
“My mom’s been there since day one,” Dr. Weaver expressed. “She’s seen all the highs and lows that came with dentistry school. My fiancé has been a massive support, and my best friend’s been by my side the whole time, too. I couldn’t be more grateful to have them here. It means more than they will ever know.”
