HANOVER-Al-The Childersburg Tigers traveled to take on the Cougars of Coosa Central on Thursday night and got out of there by the skin on their claws with a 70-66 win in overtime.
The Tigers didn’t shoot the ball exceptionally well early in the game, but played great defense again, this time on the road. The better shooting came later in the second half and overtime to preserve a four point win in overtime.
Kordes Swain led his team with 20 points, followed closely by Jordan Mann with 18, Isaac Marbury with 12, Sharrod Robertson with 10, and Ja’Kaleb Stone pumped in 8 for a 70-66 victory.
Coach Johnny Johnson said, “anytime you can get a win down there you have accomplished something. Senior leadership and someone different stepping up each night is carrying us right now. Our defense is getting better and better each contest. Our staff is certainly proud of our kids.”
Johnny Johnson’s cats are now 9-2 on the season as they head into an afternoon game today at home against Reeltown. Listen to the game on KiX 100.3 with David McCurley and Robert Sprayberry at 4:00 on the Tiger Sports Network.
