CHILDERSBURG, Ala. — The Childersburg City Council is scheduled to consider several administrative and policy items at its upcoming meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 6:00 p.m., including surplus property disposal, a proclamation recognizing Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and approvals related to training and advertising.
Among the items listed under new business is proposed Resolution 2026-01, which would declare certain gymnastics-related property no longer needed for public use and authorize Mayor Ken Wesson to dispose of the items.
Council members are also set to consider a proclamation designating January 2026 as Human Trafficking Prevention Month, affirming the city’s commitment to awareness and prevention efforts.
The agenda includes approval for the mayor and council members to attend a 2026 CMO regional training session for elected officials, as well as authorization to advertise with Childersburg High School soccer through field signage and media promotions at a cost of $800 from Fund 23.
The meeting will also include routine items such as committee reports and approval of minutes from the council’s Dec. 16, 2025 regular meeting.
