CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with the following agenda of items for action:
The council voted to approve Resolution 2022-44 that authorizes Richardson Construction to complete a roadway leading to the Childersburg Bike Trails in the amount of $44,000 from Grant #17-RT-54-03.
In other new business, the council approved the purchase of three printers for police patrol units in the amount of $3,492. Also approved for the Police Department was enrollment in the 911 Active app for officer cell phones at a cost of $15 each for 14 subscriptions.
Sleeping Giant was approved to install a 5-ton American Standard unit at the Community Center Gym annex at a cost of $8,153 from the Alabama Trust Fund.
The council approved the purchase of a batting cage system for the girls’ softball field from Sports Edge at a cost of $12,462, plus shipping and handling.
Approval was given to advertise with Childersburg Bases Loaded and Softball Boosters in the amounts of $300 per program..
The council approved contracting with artist Jan Schablow Roberts Baker to repaint the 1st St. mural downtown, at a cost not to exceed $20,000.
Approval was given for payment of invoices in the amount of $320,403.49.
The next regular meeting of the Childersburg City Council will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022.
