HomeLocalChildersburg City Council meeting- Nov. 3, 2020Childersburg City Council meeting- Nov. 3, 2020Wed, November 4, 2020 by SylacaugaNews.com Digital TeamSHARE NOW CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. for their regular meeting, with the following agenda of items for action:The Council approved a $2,402 expense for roof repair at the Limbaugh Community Center by Blair Commercial Roofing.Also approved were a trio of items for the Childersburg Police Department. Kyle Efferson was hired as a full-time permanent police officer at a rate of $14.50 per hour. Cadets Browning and Northcutt will receive a $200 per week travel expenses and per diem while attending the Police Academy through February 23, 2021. Unlike previous academy sessions, this one does not include dormitory and cafeteria services due to COVID restrictions. Also, Vintage Garage will make a repair to the Investigations vehicle, rebuilding the rear end at a cost of $1,224.45.The Council approved two advertising expenses of $200 each to the Childersburg Tip-Off Club and the Childersburg Softball Booster Club.Invoices were approved for payment in the amount of $40.791.63.The next regular meeting of the Childersburg Council will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020.
