CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met Tuesday night, May 17, at 6:00 p.m. with the following agenda of items for action:
The council voted to give approval to enter into an agreement with CCRFI for recovery services for ambulance outstanding collections and authorizing Mayor Ken Wesson or Fire Chief Shane Phillips to execute necessary documents.
Approval was given to enter into an agreement with Axon Enterprises to purchase 12 body cameras and tasers for the police department at a cost of $117,470 over a five-year period, enrolling in the Technology Assurance Plan.
The council approved the designation of certain municipal equipment as surplus and no longer necessary.
Mayor Wesson was authorized to enter into discussions with the American Motorcycle Association for a motor-cross event proposed for Childersburg.
The council approved Police Chief Rick McClelland to attend the annual Summer Conference in Orange Beach, July 31-August 4, to include registration, lodging, and per diem expenses.
Approval was given to purchase additional tables from U-Line for Grove Park which should not exceed $700.
Council approval was given for payment of invoices in the amount of $219,355.33.
The next regular meeting of the council will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
