CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met on Monday, Dec. 1, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. with the following agenda of items for action:
The Council voted to approve Resolution 2020-30 that authorizes a one-time longevity bonus to City employees cased on years of service.
Also approved was Resolution 2020-31, which gives Childersburg Local Redevelopment Authority (CLRA) approval for the Mayor, as CLRA Chairman, to execute a letter of intent for Sofos Harbert Renewable Energy LLC for a lease/purchase option on 700+/- acres at the Industrial Park for a solar power plant.
The Council approved Resolution 2020-32 to adopt Tier 1 retirement for all eligible employees. The change will enhance recruitment and retention of employees, as it will increase the level of benefits a retiree will be able to draw.
Approval was given to advertise with the Childersburg High Bases Loaded boosters in the amount of $200.
Payment was approved for invoices in the amount of $27,737.76.
The next regular meeting of the Council will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020.
