The Childersburg City Council met on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with the following agenda of items for action:
The council voted to approve Resolution 2022-15, which gives approval to Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) for right-of-way easement and authorizes Mayor Ken Wesson to execute all necessary documents. CVEC’s technology division will be expanding the reach of the fiber optic internet access through the city to several area substations.
Approval was given to Resolution 2022-16, which authorizes Mayor Wesson to execute a memorandum of understanding between the city of Childersburg and Vestavia Hills for consideration of the development of a training/firing range facility.
The council approved the purchase of a 2022 John Deere Commercial Lawn Mower A920M ZTrak, in the amount of $9,419.78, from the state bid list.
Council approval was given for payment of invoices in the amount of $220,412.85.
The next regular meeting of the council will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
