TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – The 2024 Small Schools All-County Baseball Team has been released, including players from B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Fayetteville, Winterboro, and the now-defunct Talladega County (TC) Central.
Tyler Pope, of Childersburg, was named Player of the Year after hitting over .375 for the Tigers while serving as a starting pitcher on the mound.
The Hitter of the Year was revealed to be Fayetteville’s Kai Tubbs who batted for a .383 average with 23 runs batted in (RBIs).
Braydon Williams was selected as the Pitcher of the Year as he had a 2.20 earned run average (ERA) and 64 strikeouts in 50 innings of work.
The Coach of the Year was Matt Collier of Fayetteville who led his team to the playoffs after amassing a record of 7-3 in area play.
