COOSA COUNTY, Ala. – A Chambers Co. man has been arrested and charged for a Coosa County murder.
The murder happened at night on Sunday, April 5 on Coosa County Rd. 85.
CCSO was called to the scene after a caller requested assistance for an altercation.
When deputies arrived, they were informed that 37-year-old Prince Giles Pearson of Kellyton was shot. As the scene was processed by investigators, CCSO learned Pearson was shot several times. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The suspect, Kevin Wesley Bell, 26, was arrested after attempting to flee the area on foot.
Bell was processed and placed in the county jail on $275,000 bond.
