TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Chamber of Commerce events are grand opportunities for the business, industry, and tourism communities throughout the area. Many attend for the networking connections. It’s an even better occasion to catch up with things going on in the community. Over the next week, there are four such events from one end of the county to the other.
The first of four events takes place at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Hosting the Greater Coosa Valley Chamber Coffee this month is the Elks Lodge #2295, located at 33270 US Hwy 280 in Childersburg.
Elks Lodges are places where neighbors come together, families share meals, and children grow up to become community-involved citizens. The Childersburg Lodge promises to go “over the top” with a breakfast menu they’ll prepare themselves. They’re also quite eager to show off the many ways they connect with their community, often with special focus on our Veterans and First Responders.
Such events are always great ways to catch up on community news, directly from City officials and others in attendance.
The next day – Wednesday, Jan. 15 – members of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce will gather at Sylacauga’s First Baptist Church at 8:30 a.m. for their annual member breakfast.
The Greater Talladega Chamber also has scheduled their monthly Coffee event at the Lincoln Public Library at 8:00 a.m on the same day.
On Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., things go regional with a gathering at the Civilian Marksmanship Program, just off Hwy 77 in Talladega for the Regional Business After Hours. The Chamber host is the Calhoun County Area Chamber and Visitors Center, and the event is sponsored by Alabama Power.
