SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The tents are up and the artists’ work tables set and ready for the arrival on Tuesday, April 7 of about three dozen sculptors for the Magic of Marble Festival in Sylacauga’s Central Park.
Sculptors will begin selecting their marble and getting to work on this year’s creations. You’re all invited to stop by and observe sculptors creating unique artwork from Sylacauga marble. Feel free to ask questions when they pause from their work.
While you’re in town, make sure you see the marble sculpture inside the B.B. Comer Memorial Library on the other side of N Broadway Ave. That’s also where you’ll find artwork from participating sculptors that can be purchased in the Marble Sale Room at the library.
The Magic of Marble Festival continues through Saturday, April 18, with complete information on all related activities available on-site in Central Park under the green tent, staffed by informative volunteers, as well as inside the B.B. Comer Memorial Library.
