ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Central Alabama Community College head softball coach Greg Shivers has been named the Alabama Community College Conference Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Shivers led the Trojans to an impressive 43-20 record, including a dominant 34-game winning streak that highlighted the team’s 2025 campaign.
Under his guidance, the Trojans not only posted one of the program’s best seasons to date but also produced the conference’s Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, a testament to Shivers’s focus on both team and individual excellence.
“Greg’s dedication, skill, and passion for our student-athletes have consistently elevated our softball program,” said Central Alabama Community College President Jeff Lynn. “His leadership has brought remarkable success to CACC, both on the field and in the personal growth of our players. We’re incredibly proud of what he and our team have accomplished.”
Shivers credited his staff and players for the team’s success.
“I’m honored to receive this award, but the true credit belongs to our incredible players and coaching staff,” Shivers remarked. “Their hard work, resilience, and dedication to excellence are the foundations of our success. I’m grateful for the continued support from the college, our fans, and the CACC community.”
The back-to-back coaching honors further cement Shivers’s legacy at Central Alabama Community College as he continues building a championship-caliber program.
