ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) has named Dr. Kevin Ammons as its new Dean of Students, bringing over 20 years of experience in higher education administration.
Dr. Ammons is known for his proficiency in instruction, adult education, admissions, and student services, and he has held key leadership positions at esteemed institutions like Gadsden State Community College, Enterprise State Community College, and most recently, Reid State Technical Community College.
President Jeff Lynn hailed Dr. Ammons as a seasoned leader perfectly suited for the role.
“His leadership and dedication to higher education are exactly what we need to continue advancing our mission of fostering student success and community engagement,” said Lynn.
“I am honored to join Central Alabama Community College and contribute to its spirited campus community,” Dr. Ammons expressed. “I look forward to working with the students, faculty, and administration to enhance our student services and ensure an enriching academic and personal growth environment for all our students.”
In his new capacity, Dr. Ammons will oversee a wide array of programs aimed at bolstering student success and well-being.
