ROCKFORD, AlaThe Coosa County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference regarding facts surrounding the murder of 87-year-old Virgil Chandler from December, 2017, and rape allegations from 26-year-old Latoni Daniel, an incarcerated female who recently gave birth to a child although being in jail nearly two years.

Daniel, a U.S. National Guard veteran, became pregnant while at a Coosa County jail in Rockford, but she says she has no memory of having sex.

Her attorney believes she was raped while taking sedatives prescribed to treat seizures.

Daniel is accused of being the getaway driver in the fatal shooting of 87-year-old Virgil Chandler and is charged with capital murder.

The press conference will take place at the E911 building in Coosa County on Wednesday at 1:00. Where facts from both the pregnancy and murder will be revealed.
