ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Central Alabama Community College (CACC) has announced the designation of Reginald Clifton and Sidney Thornton as the institution’s All-Alabama Academic Team honorees for 2024.

Clifton and Thornton are being recognized for their academic excellence and exemplary leadership skills.

“Reginald and Sidney have shown exceptional dedication to their academic endeavors while upholding the values central to CACC’s mission,” said President Jeff Lynn. “We are honored to have such driven and community-focused students represent our college on the All-Alabama Academic Team.”

Established in 1995, the All-Alabama Academic Team program, akin to the All-USA Academic Team Program, recognizes two outstanding students from each community college in Alabama annually.

Reginald Clifton and Sidney Thornton have not only excelled academically but have also demonstrated a commitment to leadership and community service. Their active involvement in campus life and community service reflects the positive impact CACC has on its student body.

“Reginald and Sidney’s academic excellence and service to the community set a high standard for all students at CACC,” Lynn noted. “Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and the quality of education at CACC. We are eager to see where their bright futures lead them.”
