SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Region 6 in Class 5A is coming down to the wire.

With seven games played and three more to go for Sylacauga in the 2018 football season, the Aggies (6-1, 3-1) are tied for second place with both Central Clay County (3-3, 3-1) and Center Point (3-3, 3-1).

None of the three have faced off against each other so far and that will change this Friday night. But all teams do have one shared statistic – a loss to the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils.

Mortimer Jordan (6-1, 4-0) sits atop the region undefeated against region opponents.

While first place has not been clinched, Mortimer Jordan will have to lose at least two of its final three region games for the teams tied for second to have a shot at clinching the top spot.

One of the teams tied for second will drop in the standings this Friday night as Sylacauga will travel on the road to face the Center Point Eagles.

The Eagles three losses on the season have come at the hands of Mortimer Jordan. Homewood, and Mountain Brook. Thus far, the Aggies and Eagles have three common opponents – St. Clair County, Springville, and Mortiemer Jordan.

Lets break down the numbers for both teams this season:
