VINCENT, Ala. – Partnering with the Community Foodbank of Central Alabama and the Revival Center, the Build-A-Bridge Community Pantry has set a bold goal to raise $18,000 during the Holiday Meal Box campaign.
What will that money be used for?
There are several projects for which the community pantry has needs. One of the largest is the annual Holiday Meal box distribution.
This year, the hope is to be able to purchase 650 Holiday Meal Boxes to distribute to families all throughout local communities. Just imagine how much easier a great meal makes the holiday season for these families who are struggling. Talk about showing the love of Jesus through a simple gesture!
Through a partnership with the Community Foodbank of Central Alabama, there is an incredible opportunity to purchase this year’s boxes for only $12 each. This is really a remarkable deal for everything that is included.
“We priced these out at a grocery store using store brand items, and the cheapest we could purchase them for was $32.02, before tax,” said Brandy Wallis, who heads up the Build-a-Bridge Community Pantry. “This partnership allows us to basically purchase two and a half for the price of one.”
