SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce welcomed Brown Butter Bakery and Cafe to the community with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Oct. 28.
Owners Ericka Doby and Chris Auglair were joined by family, friends, and members of the community to celebrate the cafe’s official opening at 804 Seminole Ave., across from B.B. Comer Memorial High School.
Doby and Auglair shared their excitement about realizing a longtime dream.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life,” Doby said, “and it’s just came about in the last couple of months.”
Auglair, whose culinary roots trace back to New Orleans, brings extensive food service experience. He and Doby have crafted a diverse menu to serve Sylacauga’s growing foodie community.
Brown Butter Bakery and Cafe offers daily lunch specials, Saturday brunch, and ready-to-go salads, soups, sandwiches, and pastries available in-store.
Doby and Auglair are making the cafe a family-run operation, with Doby’s children helping out and her sister Lexi planning to relocate to assist.
The Chamber of Commerce praised the addition, citing early success with crowds eager to enjoy the cafe’s offerings. Sylacauga’s patrons are encouraged to visit, with orders available by calling (256) 369-1384.
