SYLACAUGA, Ala. – October is a time to unite in the fight against breast cancer, and one remarkable survivor is leading the charge in the Sylacauga area.
Sherrel Kirkland, who has courageously battled breast cancer for six years, has teamed up with Mac’s 1 Catering to host the “Pink It Out” Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Sunday, Oct. 22, at Noble Park.
From 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the community is invited to join in the battle against breast cancer.
Mac’s 1 Catering will be on hand, offering delicious dinner plates options, and all proceeds from donations and food sales will be channeled towards supporting vital organizations like Susan G. Komen, the Tigerlily Foundation, the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Ballard House Project.
This event is more than just a walk; it’s a platform for local breast cancer survivors to share their inspiring journeys. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite cancer-themed shirt or, of course, the color pink.
Vendors will also be present, and admission for the event is free.
