[BREAKING] Tallapoosa County law enforcement investigating Sunday death related to hunting accident

TALLAPOOSA COUNTY, Ala. – The Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Department and the Alabama Game and Fish are conducting investigation related to a hunting accident that caused the death of Donna Duran, 48 from Cleveland, Alabama.

Preliminary investigation revealed that on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at approximately 11:36 a.m.

The department responded to an incident located on Centerpoint Rd., south of Dadeville, in Tallapoosa Co.

The initial report stated an individual was removing a rifle from the rear seat of a vehicle when the weapon discharged causing the death of the victim.

The investigation is pending results of an autopsy from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.

The investigation is continuing.
