SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Talladega County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Thursday morning, regarding a body found in a ditch in Odena.

When deputies arrived, they found the body of a 58-year-old woman in a ditch at the 500 Block of Funderburg Lane.

The sheriff’s office said her identity has not been released and her cause of death is unknown at this time. Her body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
