SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Kamore Harris, the powerhouse running back and linebacker for the B.B. Comer Tigers, stands as the lone AHSAA Class 2A representative on the loaded Alabama roster for the prestigious Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.

The 37th edition of the football showdown is set to kick off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the University of Southern Mississippi’s campus.

Alabama’s All-Star head coach, Ben Blackmon of Enterprise High School, expressed admiration for the team’s speed during their preparations at Camp Shelby near Hattiesburg.

The 40-member squad, including the versatile Harris who is the only player listed as an athlete on the roster, has arrived for intensive practice sessions, gearing up for the clash against Mississippi.

Harris, currently committed to the University of Memphis, showcased his prowess on the gridiron in his senior season, amassing an impressive 1,422 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns on 94 carries, averaging a remarkable 15.1 yards per carry.

On defense, he recorded 82 tackles, including four tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and one interception.

The Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic not only serves as a platform for Division I prospects but also emphasizes the dexterity of players like Harris that have the potential to make an impact on both offense and defense during the marquee event.

As Alabama aims to extend its three-game winning streak, fans of B.B. Comer and Memphis alike are anticipating Kamore Harris’s dynamic contributions to the storied series, where Alabama holds a 25-11 edge.
