SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The reigning Alabama Class 2A Back of the Year, B.B. Comer’s Kamore Harris, announced on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, July 26, that he has verbally committed to play football collegiately for the Memphis Tigers.
The Memphis Tigers, members of the American Athletic Conference, have been high on Harris for quite a while and were the second school overall to officially offer him a scholarship back in January.
After visiting the campus in Bluff City a couple of times and getting to better know the coaching staff, Harris posted on Twitter that he is now committed to the Tigers.
Harris was ranked back in February by 247Sports as a three-star athlete. Harris projects as either a linebacker or a running back/H-back hybrid at the next level.
For the Comer Tigers, Kamore has racked up incredible statistics in his high school career. In the last two seasons, Harris amassed 3,578 rushing yards and 45 touchdowns on offense. Defensively, he recorded 162 tackles and five sacks.
Harris’s commitment to the Memphis Tigers takes their current total number of recruits in the Class of ’24 to 11.
The early signing period for high school football players begins on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
