SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The B.B. Comer Memorial Library will celebrate the conclusion of its Summer Reading Program with a family-friendly ice cream party from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 in the Hightower Room.
The event, themed “Let’s Party Like a Dinosaur,” will recognize participants for their reading accomplishments throughout the summer while providing an afternoon of activities, refreshments, and community fellowship.
Library officials encourage families to attend and enjoy ice cream, connect with friends, and celebrate a successful season of reading. The event is open to readers of all ages and is designed to highlight the importance of literacy while creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for the community.
In addition to the celebration, the library will host the Ravin Hand Hygiene Tour. The interactive educational program will teach children the importance of proper handwashing and healthy habits through activities led by a nurse.
Organizers say the program combines learning and entertainment, giving children an opportunity to gain valuable health knowledge in an engaging setting.
The library invites the public to attend and take part in the dinosaur-themed festivities.
